'May' i think is the most important word when used in the sense of might, a possibility. This is the word which we tend to forget in most situations and is ironically suitable in most situations.
Generalization is an essential but harmful tool we have to live with. As we grow up we do tend to generalize from situations and try to predict. Everyone wants to be sure of whats happening and what is going to happen. So we generalize and predict. It is a necessity to make decisions.
But sometimes we generalize too early, with too little exposure and then tend to stick to that yardstick for a long time thats where generalization becomes harmful. Thats where we should remember all mighty important word, 'May'.
Whenever you have to take a decision, see if argument in your mind contains word 'May'. If not think again you are missing something. Things ought to change from your last decision. There is some change, some information you are overlooking or simply lacking.
